Not him (I use Linux), but it would be nice if you could put a proper list of dependencies on the github / in the readme. I wound up having to spin up a VM with a newer version of Ubuntu, because I couldn't get the right qt5 deps in my LTS release.

Also, bizarrely, the executable is being recognized as an ELF shared object instead of an executable, which makes it hard to launch without using the terminal. I think it's compiling with the wrong magic number in the header.

That said, strong work! I never could get the old wxwidgets version working properly; was using a Windows VM and precompiled binaries for that one.

Here's how I made it work.

You need to be on Fedora 25 Server x64. Workstation doesn't work, not sure why.

1. Disable all third-party repos, for now.
2. dnf install qt5.noarch qt5-qt3d qt5-qtwebengine gcc-c++ gcc make git wget
3. dnf install qt5-devel
4. dnf install qt5-qtwebengine-devel
5. git clone https://github.com/Anonsunite/fapgauntlet
6. dnf install https://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-25.noarch.rpm
7. dnf install vlc-devel
8. cd fapgauntlet (or wherever you cloned it to)
9. make clean && make
10. run it

You're all likely not going to get this working in Windows. OP used a Qt library that just doesn't exist for Windows.

The story is the same with OS X. Forget about the "official" Qt installer, OP's project doesn't use it. Again, like Windows, you need libraries that just don't exist.

I would love OP to prove me wrong, but if they are a big enough idiot to use Qt, there's no way in hell they can cross compile into a Windows .exe or OS X .app.

Fuck me, finally got it to work - here's how:

You'll need the Fedora 25 Server edition, go download that, you need Virtual Box, and you need me.

Virtual Box: New -> type Fedora, it'll know -> click through all the nonsense -> Storage -> click [Optical Drive] find the Fedora .iso -> click the green arrow pointing right, labeled "Start".

Install Fedora by saying yes to everything. Click the things with the yellow warning triangle, except you only need the root user, I set my password to '1'.

The shit I do for a fap, I got it to work-ish. (I'm also using Fedora Server 25 x64)

I followed >>4645238, however it looks like fapgauntlet went back to qt4 and that was causing issues on its own. I decided to just install all the libraries that come with qtwebengine or whatever its called by following their how to (https://wiki.qt.io/How_to_Try_QtWebEngine). Instead of (sudo yum install "qt5-*"), I did (sudo yum install "qt4-*").

This site (https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/) helped me find the names of the libraries I was missing for some reason when running (sudo make -after running- sudo qmake-qt4 -o Makefile FapGauntlet.pro). I installed the "devel" versions of the libraries.

It takes just a shitload of time, found out I that qt webengine doesn't compile for 32 Bit Windows, so I need to get a 64 Bit version and compile there, meaning: Reinstall everything, Perl, Python 2.7, git clone qt's src, Visual Studio Preofessional Test version for atlbase.h and whatnot
If I'd have knewn that compilation on windows for Qt is that much cancer, I'd have programmed this without it
