The issue with all this type of shit is that the fantasy is only tolerable (from either the male or female perspective) if the guy actually outsmarts or fairly beats the female, but because these manga are written by pathetic men who can't imagine fairly besting a confidant person in their lives they instead make the male insert win for the dumbest possible reasons.
