Even with the mod patch, one of the biggest limitations of the game is scenes. It makes it feel like collecting outfits is the only real progression. Escalation of sexual activities is very bare bones. The latest official version has but two real go to bed scenes, and the other scenes aren't interactive at all, beyond clothed or unclothed, or, not even that much.

Also the lack of impregnation and pregnancy is the game's biggest flaw. I fully disagree that its lack of anal is its biggest flaw.

So, umm, oddness. On my previous runthrough I cheated and messed with the code to max out lust and intimacy. I changed the code back to how it was before starting the game again. I checked Sylvie's stats periodically and everything was progressing normally.

Then I get to the part where she offers herself to me for the first time and I turn her down to see what would happen. Next morning arrives, and I try out the "Strip!" command, and.... she strips naked. What's more, I check the stats and intimacy is 99999, and lust 99998.

I'm playing on gahnoo+linucks with wine and my tooltips don't seem to work so I've been guessing at what I have to do to unlock memories from various badly translated forum posts and ancient txt guides.

What the yandere mode do?

Haven't played in a while. I installed the mod patch successfully on a freshly downloaded copy of 1.8.3, and verified by starting a new game. I brought my save from 1.8.1 over but when I load it Sylvie is invisible. Followed the instructions in the readme by going to the memories page and back then saving, but she is still invisible.

Is there some save incompatibility between these versions or is there some other step I'm missing?

Yep, confirmed, when Ray updated the beta he also changed the base game. This is similar to what happened back with 1.16, where at one point there were effectively two different versions under the same version number.

So even though the new version is still called 1.8.3, it's totally different from the old 1.8.3 and the patches won't work.

In a virtual machine with Windows 7: has graphical errors, Sylvie does not show up at the main screen.

The modpatch that is available through the Mega link - the archive that is labeled "Modpatch v1.8.3 New v5.rar" - that one isn't for 1.8.3? Or it just for one of them?

I have two versions now, a ZIP one (831 Megabytes) and a RAR one (824 Megabytes). In a virtual machine, applying no patches, there are graphical bugs (black blocks every other frame or so), but at least Sylvie shows up - when I start the EXE version. With index.html the same problem remains.

Now, when I apply the modpatch to either version, Sylvie appears in the intro, but she isn't in the main room. The game is in English, though.

So if you say that this one is incompatible with either one, then the question is how to get one that IS compatible?

From my understanding there is a 1.8.3 version out there, and then there's a 1.8.3 that is marked as 1.9.0 beta. I DELIBERATELY said that I didn't want to play the beta. But that would effectively be the one available for sale.

Incorrect. If you bought the game, it would just be marked as "1.8.3". It has an optional beta included within it, but that isn't actually indicated on the download itself. You have to know it's there and how to apply it in order to switch to the beta version.

It's a definite fact that the patch creators do not support piracy, so you're not wrong there. However, in not supporting piracy and in building patches that work on only whatever the current release available on DLSite/DMM is, that means it's perfectly valid to say that if you don't want problems, having a legitimate copy is your best bet.

i didnt use the beta version, its still 1.8.3 but since the Dev. changed stuff it means you need the newest one... so redownload from Dlsite or i think one of the torrents linked here has it.

The patches don't work with the beta. The latest official release of the game has changed that make it break compatibility with the old patches is all.

if there is just 1 folder inside called "chara" you have the old one
if there are 3 folders called "c" "H" and "sub" then thats the new one
