Just google it ok. It's a 26 episode tv series that had two movies. The first movie (death and rebirth) was just one big recap episode and the second movie (End of Evangelion) was the part that actually mattered. Episodes 25-26 are what happened inside Shinji's mind during "instrumentality" and the movie EoE is what happened in the real world. The show is generally referred to as a deconstruction of the monster of the week/mecha genres.

It also has a manga which generally follows the format of the show, only the ending is kind of different.

Their are also shitty mangas called the Shinji Ikari raising project made as a cash grab.

There are also shitty movies that start off as a recap of the first half of the show up until episode 20 around and then fall apart by movie 3. Not worth watching imo.
