Candy and /koe/ guy has made a storage server dedicated to backup/upload voice.

The storage space for the server is currently 512 GB big and requires a sFTP client in order to connect and download/upload (such as FileZilla, WinSCP etc.). Downloaders are able to just connect and download. As for uploaders who wish to contribute something... hop into the Discord server. Go to #verification and ask for permission. Candy and /koe/ guy will be sitting there and talk with you.

You can also visit voice.station.moe in order to check if a specific voice work is uploaded or not. If you want to check a full listing of what's been uploaded, connect to the sFTP instead or search "RJ" at voice.station.moe for most of the DLSite's stuff. All informations regarding about what username, password, host address etc. and how to get permission to upload stuff, can be found at the FAQ page. Click on the image in order to see the url for the FAQ.

HVDB is not supposed to be a replacement for the thread. It was the thread that introduced me to voice works in the first place and it was the thread that inspired me to build the site. So it saddens me to see it go to shit because of my site.

However, I understand the importance of HVDB to the current user base and I do not wish to let any of you down. I apologize for the begging that the site has caused so far.

This brings me to a new HVDB policy. We have built up quite a large userbase at this point. As a result, we need to start being more careful about who enters the site. This is where the invite system comes in. If you want to get into the site, please make your case to the current userbase. Simply posting your email and asking for an invite will not get you anywhere. In addition, I will be more closely monitoring the thread. Any person that simply asks for an invite without making a case for themselves will be blacklisted from the site.

The invite system is supposed to be about building trust and a relationship between the current userbase and new users. There are many ways to build trust even if you can't contribute directly by uploading works. To my current users, I urge you to take advantage of the invite system. Be open without being naive. Be careful without being discriminatory.

Ahem, another way to contribute is to create a page for works that hasn't been added to HVDB.

For an example, RJXXXXXX hasn't been added to the list yet, you can add the work and its tags but no download link if you don't have one. Still counts as 1 contribution point.

If they were uploaded as folders instead of archives, but that's kind of a pain in the ass :| If, for example, I was to completely leave RJ193633 uncompressed and just shared it as a folder on MEGA it would be 6.28GB. By archiving the entire folder, it compresses down to 3.02GB (48% of original size). And I personally just can't be assed to do separate MP3/WAV uploads anymore, sorry man :(

As for「精」you've probably heard it before, as a part of 精液 「せいえき」(semen), but on it's own it still can mean semen. Taking the Kanji literally, this should mean "squeeze semen", but taking a more liberal approach, and you get milking semen. Or at least, that's what my 3 years of university and little over half year of independent studies lead me to believe.
