Maybe I am just stupid, but I spent some time working in studio on an animation using the IK animation thing that you get with ctrl+i. was happy with it and saved it as a scene, came back and it was a still image.

Can you like not save them? or did I fuck something up somewhere.

But you don't even have characters of your own. That "aesthetic goal" you speak of is merely reproducing something else plausibly. I'm not against that and have done it myself more than a few times. The thing is, and think about this, that even when you take inspiration from different sources literally ALL your characters end with your so recognizable signature look. So the criticism is directed towards that, the essence of your work in short.

To put forward an instance of what I mean, think about making cards for queen Maleficent and Mai, for example. A good copyist would end with plausible models, and people wouldn't be able to tell they're from the same guy because of the abyssmal difference between the original characters. That's not your case.

They all seem fine to me!
But really though, you need to tweak the settings to get things right, but even then some animations just don't work well.
The two settings I found to help a lot are Model Scale and Hip pos(y). IK (toe) and ik weight (rot) tweaking helps too.

I find that any motions that focuses on pistons, like riding or humping, work good for the most part without tweaking. Pole dances too work surprisingly well up until they crouch, which just breaks their legs.
