Save your scene.
Delete all the objects/character in the scene EXCEPT the ones you want to duplicate.

What are scenes? I haven't fiddled with Studio much (it's in Japanese, the translation I got just seems to have done the main game). I was able to load a scene in Studio, but nothing is happening after that. Is it supposed to be like a movie, or just an environment with positioned characters?

depends of the work that was put into it.
Then can be still scenes or animated.

Good scenes have mutliple cameras set up showing different things - click the camera 1-5 buttons to switch view.

Great scenes have cleverly set up the same characters at multiple spots to make a little slideshow when you go from 1 to 5.

You can play all the animations from the main game in the studio, and fanmade plugins expand the functionality allowing for things such as attaching objects to body parts so that they follow the movement, attaching body parts to other body parts, limited animation modification and very limited animation from scratch. some key things you can't do are actually have character move around and animate facial expressions, neck movement and hand poses.

It's not the best but even better than what's been done with the widesliders, nips only make them good look at an angle and with lightning tricks since from up front it looks boxy as fuck.

Is there a way to make scenes darker?
I've been having been issues with bright scenes since the beginning and even ShortcutsHS (even with the crazy amount of lightning things you can do) only really seems to let you make seems brighter rather than darker.
For some angles the stages are so bright you can barely see the map textures and it's just one white mess.

I have 60 fps in studio and game but all the screen recorders that work for me butcher it.
there dropped to 20-30 and it boggles and the jiggle bits on the girls goes all wonky.

If the framerate is dropping you just need to find a better software, if you have an Nvidia gpu try recording your videos with the geforce experience, it can easily record 120fps+

She looks good and unique in her own way but still a bit off, or rather, may work better or be just as good with a different theme. Have you tried making alternate versions of her with different outfits her hairstyles? Try seeing if she melds just as well with other design choices. Recording your screen isn't supposed to be a "heavy task", but a lot of recording softwares fail the basic coding and tweaking necessary and they end up being a lot more demanding than what they should actually be...

Unless you don't have enough memory or terrible writing speeds you should be able to at least record close to the frame rate you are seeing when using a good software.

On some animations it works very well as default, but on others you will need to do some syncing in studio to match the sex angle.
