I've had a few sessions with the Time Rotor now:

First go:

I couldn't figure out how to export in that format from the DAW of my choice (Reaper), so had to do a quick import&export with Audacity for that.

This is the way, and also how I did it this time (ie こんばんは's は). Also doing a few test spins very early is definitely something that I would encourage including.

The high speed piston is actually quite tough for the rotor to follow (as in, time is required to accelerate and decelerate to reach desired speeds, or rests). So far I have always skipped voices without SEs, but not having the slapping wet sounds dictate the pace might actually be good.

Yesterday I was listening to music at home when I was hit with the uncontrollable urge to take a massive dump. So I charged to the bathroom down the hall, did what I needed to do, and flushed.

When I decided to create HVDB, I did not mean for it to have such a polarizing effect on the community.

The goal of HVDB has always, and will always be to promote sharing of voice works and serve as an easy way to search for a particular voice work. In no way was the site supposed to be a private replacement for the sharing that happens here in the thread.

There are links on HVDB for two reasons. One, to preserve longevity of the shared download links. I had initially envisioned that the site would archive all of the links that had been posted here in the threads. Two, to serve as an easy hub to find works without having to go through a wall of ads or be forced to download multiple files at a throttled rate.

As for contributing to the site, don't worry if you can't provide download links. After all, not all of us have the capability to buy works. As other anons have said, there are other ways of contributing to the database. Maintaining a well organized and well tagged set of data has always been a priority for the site.

We must accept the fact that there will always be leechers. We were probably all leechers at some point. I was a leecher when I first discovered voice works. This is why I have decided that I will no longer remove people from the site for excessive downloads. There's a way around every system after all. Instead I think I'll create a bounty system or something that will promote contribution rather than punish leeching.

Just remember, that as you use the site, try to contribute a little. Maybe fix some tags, correct some cv names, translate a little if you have the ability to. I hope everyone (even you 2ch folks) will be able to help HVDB grow.

I took the easy way out - akin to that method. Even though I do keep the "bigger circles" in a folder of their own, they are still "ordered" as follow.

First folder - RJ number
Inside, second folder with all the data & seperate, a Pic of the release

Deal up the folder view to at least middle-big thumbnails, and you just see which work is stored in that folder. Lowered my search time to a fraction.

i found it strange when unzipping the work i downloaded and is smaller in size then dlsite and realise some of the work at hvdb is flac instead of wav LUL.
