It's good because many games require a controller and some images like >>4423897 require certain distances which you can regulate with the shinecon one.
Also I'm kinda sad now that I saw that the second gen(the one I linked you) is way better and also 3 dollars cheaper.

Actually you can. There's 2 methods that don't require glasses :
- Cross eyed, the easiest to do, require specific stereoscopic pictures with the left and right reversed.
- Parallel view require a standard stereoscopic picture (the one used for 3D TV will work).

Since I'm here, I'm still looking for other "artist" that can manage to convert regular picture into stereoscopic animated one (bonus if you can also do VR 180°/360° stuff).

Hi, I'm the one who created the >>4426203 and >>4424661 one. And yes, I stopped doing that because that was time consuming, not really gratifying and not a lot of person have an interest in those (it's used for cross eyed usage from start).

The pokegirl is the first one done (it wasn't supposed to move... just a personal test back then) and I converted to VR usage recently (and badly) when Blender was able to render 180 and 360° stereoscopic renders. It's the only one converted to VR because body parts are not cropped (for the girl part only... the guy is just a flying dick).

I actually have a small amount of converted picture to stereoscopic animation (10+) but since it's mostly based on /aco/ pictures, I didn't posted those on /h/. I tried to create a /aco/ version of this thread but due to lack of converted /aco/ pictures, it didn't last long.

And about creating a tutorial for that, it's too tedious and experimental to make something usable. In order to do that, Blender, Blender's personal script, Gimp and Gimp's resynthesizer plugin are used. Art and modeling skill don't have to be great (not even average) but having a good geometry perception is required.

Yeah, I remember when you converted it in a thread or two ago. I made the last two cross eyed threads on /h/ and from the screenshots it certainly looked very tedious.

Too bad any of the stereoscopic tools that are out for using a depthmap and a static image output shitty images, with no hope of conversion.

The best solution would probably be one that converts to a file that's side by side and cut into layers based upon the depthmap.

I don't blame you for not posting the /aco/ ones on /h/, there's a few /d/ ones that got posted in the last thread and they were removed.

I... don't get it about your explanation. Using depthmap actually make good stereoscopic pictures (as long as the depthmap is good obviously) and using a website like depthy.me give a good feedback to the user about the depth part.

Poor dev... making a complex psd file instead of a directly usable image format. Plus, I don't know what kind of modifications you plan to do from that file.

I'm hoping to create a side by side picture that I can use for cross eyed or parallel view; although I'm not actually making this it's just an idea I had.

The layered image file is for using this guide to make a more fined tuned version of the stereogram, assuming you have a good enough depthmap generator.

I think it's probably the best solution, since I don't want to get a smartphone and the bill for it would be insane. An actual VR system might be cool but wouldn't be something that I use all the time. I guess a cardboard viewmaster is a good compromise for most people.

I've been messing about with trying to generate stereo images from drawn content just using the depth map technique. This is one of my favourites so far. I'm currently trying to make a decent viewer in unity (none of the viewers I've found so far have the features I'm looking for). The funny thing is, I'm also currently doing my final year project at university on generating 3D images from 2D data. I wonder if quoting 4chan is acceptable?

I have this one, not great though. the problem with POV is that they tend to have extremely close objects in the foreground (breasts, etc.) which screw everything up. That being said, I have found some POV that look suitable for conversion. I'll chuck them up here if I get round to it in time.
