and your linework looks to be in much better condition than mine was even a month ago, i was so used to doing just sketches i had like permanent hairy lines, which look so much worse on digital stuff, but it looks like you already have some nice solid confident strokes
i use artrage mostly, the interface is great and the hotkeys are really quick to use, and its designed specifically to emulate traditional tools, so it was real easy getting into it with its pen tools. although its not the best for linework, you have to do everything manually and the blending options arent very good in my experience, so i got paint tool sai a couple weeks ago, way better for linework and blending, but the interface is pretty... archaic. but if the japanese use it more than photoshop it must be good
as for free? i think coral painter is free and i hear about that a lot. i dont think artrage or sai are free, i just pirated them, but i know thats not everyone's cup of tea
