I already have an unofficial english translation of the game. It's version 1.6.2, but I torrented it. If I buy the game and patch it with the translation/mods, is there any way I can swap my save file over from the torrented version without it breaking anything?

Note that the translation patch readme lists the correct way to install for both PC and Mac. Also note that if you're on Mac OSX Sierra, the game won't run for you, but if you drag index.html from the game's folder onto the blank window that appears, it'll run from that.

Bug in Tyrano (not TeachingFeeling itself) with Sierra, will be fixed eventually I assume.

If everything goes as planned, then bare minimum we'll have gloves, a bunch of new clothing options, a new custom clothing feature (the ability to have custom clothing items for accessory categories), two new H-scenes (maid oral service, kimono missionary), and a bunch of new talk stuff. 1.7.0 adds new clothes, adds Sylvie reacting to having her outfit changed, changes the dressup/shop interface to work similarly to the English patch, and adds a new custom outfit system that looks more integrated (but at least for me caused the game to lock up when clicked).

English patch, not leak, will be available once the new interface elements (the buttons for the new clothes, basically) are whipped up, but may be delayed until it can be made certain whether the game-crashing bug in the clothing system is the game's fault or mine. If it means another update, then patching 1.7.0 makes no sense.

1.7.1 is out and fixes the clothing bug from 1.7.0, but it also updated the core Tyrano codebase and, in the process, has completely broken savegames from any version prior to 1.7.1.

There is a way to 'fix' your savegame, but it requires opening your .sav file in a decent text editor (like notepad++) and adding a line of code in several places (depending on how many save slots you've used).

It sucks, but at least it only has to be done once. I'm still trying to think of a way to automate the process, but my brain cells are pretty worn out from figuring out how to fix it in the first place.

There are actually 3 new categories, plus a dedicated custom page if you enable custom outfits. It isn't hard to find the locations at all (I've kind of been doing this since January), it's just tedious and annoying to change x/y position values for the closet/shop interfaces. Every time I have to do it I feel the urge to stab myself since it'd probably be more fun.

So I ended up just deleting the whole game folder and installing 1.7.2 along with the patch but when I try to load my old save file, I get this. The game sort of works but the sprite is completely broken. With her face floating, her naked body next to it and her clothes on the other side of the screen.

Luckily I just fixed it by buying a new outfit. Everything seems to work fine now.

Thank you very much for your report! Someone on ULMF caught the wine bottle thing too, it's because I forgot to port forward the wine bottle TL fix from 1.6.3. Basically, when wine was first introduced, there was a 'cheat' I used to get the translation to work. It was actually a bug in the game, though, so after reporting it and having it fixed, I essentially had to 'break' the game again to make it work right. I forgot to 'break' 1.7.2. Plus of course the typos, so I'll have a new patch up soon. Stand by!

As for using a skirt, at the moment the 'half' outfits are just that--halves. Ray hasn't programmed in any sort of combo system for them. As you mentioned though, perhaps TS-tan could figure something out when he updates the mods.

So I updated to 1.7.2, then installed the TL patch, and Modpatch. Everything works okay but one line of dialogue wasn't translated (it was when we were drinking wine) and I could no longer take Sylvie out with me.

An error message pops up that says [set_if_nurse] and [set_if_nude] does not exist. Then I am taken to a blank screen and my game is soft locked right there.

Any help? Did I make some rookie mistake?
