Translating novels is boring. Anyway, I want a translator to roast my Tachibana novel translation and my Kaki Hoshuu novel translation. I want to know how bad my translation of the novel is. Constructive criticism only. No criticisms on grammar since it's been stated many times.

I know my Kaki Hoshuu translation is better but by how much? I still have no reply on my feedback thread for it in g.e-hentai.org... Did anyone here read it? It's like Tachibana-san, it's prologue and first chapter is vanilla.

While it's possible they will run into one major problem. The person/people who did the coloring have put their ad on every single page. So even if they translated it back to Japanese that Chinese ad will still visible everywhere which will look very odd. Its much simpler to remove the text in the speech bubbles than removing those ads unless they manage to convince the Chinese group to remove it themselves and provide them with the unaltered material to work with.

Then again, it'll be more money for the Chinese group if it's true that they were coloring it for money in the first place so it's a possibility.

The moment i took a look at the Chinese coloring i could spot the technique instantly.

While it gets the job done, its a very simple procedure consisting of laying down base colors while avoiding the blacks and whites because the layer styles will bypass them completely which in turn the worries of coloring out of boundaries is drastically reduced. This is the very reason they've been able to crank out the pages so quickly. The downside to this technique is that you are very limited or have absolutely no control over the colors whatsoever which is why they generally look overly saturated/intense.

They did however went back to add in the extra highlights/lighting here and there so some areas do look better than others.

Sometimes I wonder if these comments are for real.
This version is absolutely riddled with issues in the form of omissions and errors. Discounting the white background, it's quite poorly done.
The only redeeming feature is the good palette choice, it's very fresh and bright. Pic is just a few errors, didn't bother to circle all of them, far too many.

Lack of detail and... experience? The choice of layer order will solve itself after forming habits.
The incomplete fill comes from using the magic wand tool, probably.

To help draw attention to issues, try toggling off the lineart to get a better look at your fills. It should show off the bad blend, incomplete/magic wand fills and layer order/spillover.

This stuff is very time consuming, but time invested does not mean it should be celebrated. You can spend a long time on something and still create mediocrity.
I have similar projects going on with other books, I'm not about to add to that workload so you can get a page out of it.

You should make novel translations as a donor project. If no one is interested in paying, don't do them. As a hobbyist translator, or should someone who want to give back to the community, manga chapters are enough. You're not getting anything from translating novels, at least not enough for you to pay the 500k debt you have to Superlatanium.

How about stop releasing pages and after you finished Kyouka's sex scene, set a fundraising target which after being achieved, release the pages. I think you're good enough to become a commission only translator.

It is highly unlikely it is a new Tachibana. In fact it will probably be the second compilation of Fate. Since there is no announcement in the website, it might just the circle pre booking and maybe selling their old stocks for C91. A new piece of illustration is not a confirmation he will release a new work. The RPGMAKER game is the only thing that is certain that he is working on, the rest are possibilities.

I would say there is a 90% he will be releasing the new fate compilation considering that it will be easier for JIN knowing how lazy he is. 8% is for a new oneshot or series and 2% for a new Tachibana. It is very unlikely he will release the RPGMAKER Game for C91 since he hasn't release anything about it.
