If you're on 1.6.3 and you're using the translation patch in >>4392511 you'll be fine. If you use the mod patch then some translations may be missing (due to script changes) but otherwise it should work, since the mod patch had its own 'fix' for the bug that was fixed in 1.6.3.

Since that's entirely in Japanese, you don't have a patch loaded, for one. However, if you click 回想 that's Memories. So click that, then click もどる, then you should be golden.

The idea here is that the only screen which hasn't had its script directory changed since 1.16 is the Memories screen, so it can be used to 'update' a save file. Please follow the instructions in >>4394018

Just looked into this game again, I was on 1.3. Replaced the data files from a 1.6 modpatch and booted the game again, loaded my old save, blicked memories and then back but got this error message, which is followed by 2 others before they go away, anything I click on gives these error messages tho.

Yes, you need to copy some files to the game directory, so you're modifying it and getting rid of moonrunes. Not the downloaded patch, but its contents. It's a RAR archive, expand it and move the files in it according to instructions provided in Readme.txt.

Ray has actually done several animations and is something of a hobbyist about it. Perceived limitations in the game engine stopped him from making it a priority, but he has mulled over having certain scenes be animated after subsequent testing proved it to be feasible.

However, at present none of the in-game scenes are animated, no. There are some GIFs, but they're not part of the game itself. You'll find them in the おまけ folder.
