Since Ferrum said, that he's going to stay in town for a while, what do you think might be some other items, we might acquire from him in the future? We all know that he deals with "delicate" wares, so here are my guesses:

Drugs. I know we have the sex drugs, but I'm thinking about something where we can just consume it and have some interesting/funny dialogue, just like with the plum wine.

An animal. Probably stolen or abandoned we can take up an animal from our trusty merchant. It's in bad shape and Sylvie sees the parallel between them, so she pleads us to help it. I think about a dog, which the player and Sylvie can walk in the park. Or maybe a more homely pet, like a cat or a bird. In this case we could maybe take a peek at Sylvie when she's interacting/talking with it.

Movies. We can get some DVD's from Ferron and watch them at home with Sylvie. Again we get some scenes, for example when she hugs you tightly in a horror movie, can't stop laughing at a comedy or things might even heat up, when you decide to watch an adult movie together.

Those are some things I would love to see realized.

The point there was that the game can be so much more. There can be so much more to the story of Sylvie, the Doctor, and everyone else in the world around him than what's in it right now. If Ray added the wedding bit to the game at the one-year anniversary and then just said "yup all done," it would be a grave disappointment considering the ideas he's had on Twitter over this past year.

No, Linux users are quite fucked. I think I recall it used to work but as of latest version all you get is a empty black window that you cannot close without kill -9'ing the process itself. You DO know that all this "engine" does is displaying PNGs? That is something often done by the CPU anyways. Fucking hell, any two-bit 2D engine can do so, this is not rocket science. Any image viewer can do so, and I'd strongly assume that they even do it completely in software because bugging the driver just wouldn't be worth it.

You shouldn't use the translation patch AND the mod patch, as the mod patch includes the translation patch as a part of it and they can fuck one another up. It's like running two antivirus programs. Big no-no.

Make sure you actually have a legit copy of 1.6.2 (unpatched--it shouldn't be in English at all if you run it), then use one patch or the other, making sure that the patch you choose is also for 1.6.2 and not some older patch.

This is going to seem whiny, boring, or just something. I feel like I want to say it though.

To the creator of this game (if you even view this thread). I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have severe depression and loneliness and other issues. I have looked for help in the past but it just created more problems.

This game though. This game keeps me going. After work everyday I just come home and play the game or do whatever else I do (game, watch films, work on a project, etc) and have TF on in the backround. Lately things have gotten worse but Sylvie is the entire reason I look forward to coming home anymore.

I know it seems whiny and like I have issues but I can safely say (with confidence) this game saved my life. When the option to talk to Sylvie opened up my mind was blown and I cried.

It's not about being afraid of reality or coping with it. My problem in what you said was not the fact that you told that anon that it's just a game, it's the fact that you completely denied the fact that something can pe "special" in someone's eyes, no matter his view or reason that feeling. I did in fact take into account your view. I've put myself in your shoes and try to see the things from your prespective (tho it's kinda hard through text to do that).
