I don't know if it's because Si Min Lee isn't working with a1c anymore or what, but the way the characters look in Suzuki Mirano and Majin's recent work don't look anywhere as good as their older stuff.

Just compare Ran Sem to Cross Mix, and Euphoria 1+2 to 3+4. There seems to be a clear difference.

Si Min Lee works under a varieties of different names these days. Citizen, Citizen08 and 水原市民 are all his aliases. However, what changed is that he mostly stick with character design and supervision now, and rarely actually do keyframes and other infield works. Which most likely is what caused the difference in the animation art style. For example, he did character design for Euphoria. But only actually worked on the animation for episode 1 alone.

Suzuki Mirano didn't really follow the RanSem source very well, but more they followed the concept of the plot really well.

As far as the storyline goes they left out a main character from the VN and the only scene from the vn they used was the scene were Anna gets her virginity taken, besides that all the scenes from the OVA were original or VASTLY altered scenes from the VN to the point they are basically original scenes as well. Honestly i love the approach they took in the OVA though they trimmed it down and focused on the concept of the plot instead of trying to copy and paste the vn scenes into animation.

One thing i wish they would of added in the ova is Majima's motivation, you find out in the vn why he went after riko and anna. However In the OVA they made Majima far more mysterious and omnipotent, he almost doesn't even seem human in the OVA; which is another thing that i thought the OVA did better i love how overpowered they made Majima in the OVA really makes you feel that riko and anna are gonna be his cum dolls forever. In the VN however they made Majima come across as a lot more human compared to the OVA majima. I'd say the OVA Majima is probably 4x stronger than the VN Majima. One thing i did like about vn Majima was how excited he would get about raping Riko and all the shit talking he would do to her.
