Explain it in detail will need a lot more than a simple picture.

Here is the actual quote about using Blender :
"The way I did that was to act like you gonna make a hybrid animation (or puppet animation if you like). From that, I have different body part on different layers.
Once done, I import those layer using a personal script and, instead of applying the texture in a regular way, I use a virtual projector placed on the same location/rotation than the camera.
From that, you can use the edit tool to generate basic depth and sculpt tool to add a bit of volume and rounded shape on your layers (like breast and thick legs).

I suppose you can skip the layering part using a single picture with some depth but it's better to get at least 3 layer (background, body and breast) in order to get some basic acceptable results."

I made the stereoscopic pictures that was done using Blender (and also animations) but I'm too lazy to explain.

Haven't found any evidence for it; you're just using a muscle so you can strain it too much, so take breaks while you're practicing.

not any of these anons but still..

eye is indeed a muscle mass (6 muscles total) that as any muscle if you use it on non-normal states (such as crossing eyes in this case) it will have some normal side-effects...that include muscle-pain, dysfunctionality of the muscles (mainly small twitching for the eyes) BUT ALL OF THEM WILL BE GONE IN AN HOUR OR SO

and of course in order to get to that point you need to cross eye for at least 20-30 mins without any break

there, you decide

eyes getting stuck is just a humorless myth just like the boogie monster (mainly for similar reasons as you can imagine)

heres my contribution tho

Raise your finger right in front of your face. Focus on it. Notice everything in the background doubles.

Your eyes are now in the same position as when you're crossing them to view an image. The only difference is your brain (?) is sending different signals to control the contraction of other muscles that control bringing an object into focus relative to its distance. Signals it's being tricked into sending.

Yes and no. Doing stereoscopic conversion is always a good amount of work.

Like on >>4322178 , there's this annoying layering part you had to do. But instead of doing the depth effect on photoshop, I tried to use Blender for that part. Why ? Simply because I don't know how to get the good depth on PS.

Once done, since everything was polygons, I tried to animate it using bones and TADA... here it is. FYI, that was one of my first work on stereoscopy conversion and I've done much better since (but only /aco/).

>>4324955

The way you did the 3D in this one is completely AWESOME! Really, this picture is completely unbelievable, everything has it's own depth, you should look forward to make more pictures like this one where you make everything at it's own depth, It looks realist as fuck, it's a bit weird that her hands look too big but it isn't your fault as her hands are the correct depth too.
>>4324959
"Cool", has some 3d in her legs, head, raincoat(?) and everything, could really use different depth for her insides and butt. But I bet doing the butt perfectly is going to be a real pain , just the insides would make this pic way better.

Could you make a swapped edition next time too? I'm using a cardboard and in your method you use your left eye to see the right side of the pic and your right eye to see the left one and in the cardboard it's right eye for the right eye and left eye for the left side, which forces me to swap the pictures in photoshop to view the effect. I can easily do it with .jpgs and .pngs but sadly I can't enjoy .webms and .gifs since I don't know how to swap them.

>>
>>4343154
>Shit, I always thought these were made in After.
Most of hybrid/puppet animation are done using AE or Flash. They use 2D transformation only (rotation + translation) and sometime do some deformation in order to create some depth (mostly boobs "physics"). This method can create good animation but you can't (yet ?) do stereoscopy using it.

Stereoscopic pictures are done using PS, depthy.me (or any equivalent that using Z map) but you can't really do animation. I heard that some guy use some depth trick on depthy to create movement but it's actually incompatible with stereoscopy.

Here, Blender is used to do both animation and stereoscopy. I suppose any 3D program can be used to create that. Don't expect that to be an easy work through. I'm not the first one doing that : just search for "corradosgifs" on google.

>By the way, how hard to learn is Blender for someone who uses 3Ds Max?
Depend on you. Since you learnt 3DSMax, that's mean you have some knowledge about mesh, armature, animation, texturing, shader and other stuff. You have to teach how to use the UI (right click thing is kinda weird the first times you used it) and find the equivalent tool for everything you learn. You can change the regular shortcuts to the 3DSmax preset one if needed.

>I'm already worried about paying license subs after my student one expires, and Autodesk is even more jewish than Adobe of all companies out there, that's why I'm looking for other options.
Hmm... I suppose you plan to only do freelance or something like that right ? If you plan to work with big companies, you'll have some trouble since those only search for Maya, C4D or 3DSmax user because considered as "standard". Blender can sometime be used for (too) specific usage but don't really expect more.

Usually people have become accustomed to seeing things automatically. In order to view these cross eyed images optimally you have to practice with manually focusing and aiming your eyes until you can do the new routine automatically.

Normally your eyes focus so that wherever the focus point is not blurry. What you want to practice is being able to change focus of your eyes without moving the focus point, so that whatever is there is blurry.

If you're using the pencil method, you should be able to see the 3rd image in the background but blurry, try focusing your eyes so that the pencil becomes blurry while the background comes into focus, while still aiming your eyes at the pencil.
>>
>>4347457
>>4348087
May I suggest removing the pencil after crossing the eyes and overlapping the 2 center images in one? It won't get in the way anymore.
As anon said, it's a matter of forcing your eyes/brain to focus on a different point than you're used to. It will take some practice, keep staring at the center unfocused image and it will slowly start to focus. Can't help more, sorry, I can just assure it will become automatic at some point.

crossing your eyes isn't a dangerous thing, you won't have any injury from it, however, if you cross your eyes for too long it will start to hurt, but even that isn't a big deal. in other words, your eyes are supposed to be able to cross, just like staring up or down, left or right..

if these things f*** up your vision, then you should stop seeing them, or see small-sized pictures.

what's the point of crossing your eyes?
>>
>>4353998
so you can see the image with some 3D effect
>>
>>4353214
Are you crossing them towards the nose or outwards?
I can instantly focus with the first method, which fortunately is the one all these pic are meant for.
Either way at first it takes time to focus. Try hard until you see the pic perfectly.
It may take you long minutes of staring at the same pic and slowly adjusting your eyes. But it'll take less and less time the more you try it.
>>
>>4353995
Overall nice. Avoid using pictures where one tit goes to one random side and not closer to my face, it kinds of waste the whole meaning behind it.
>>
>>4353995
In some places the hair in the background is closer than the actual body that is in front of it.

Some of the hair doesn't quite match up same with the left boob.

If you were going for super detail, the nipples don't quite show and the right boob isn't quite lined up with how the hand is squishing it.

I'd say that if it's only your second try you might want to start with something less detailed.
>>
>>4354413
I kind of forgot the hair.
>start with something less detailed
doing this with an image you don't like is a torture, man

a shame since I find it a lot less stressful for the eyes and the image appears to be bigger when viewed from the same distance
luckily one may simply invert the two images if he wants to use a different method and keep the perspective right

Depends on the size of the image and how close to the screen you are. For example with >>4356076 you'd need to cross more than with >>4356009. As for tips what I used to do was cross pass the point of the images overlapping and slowly uncross to the convergence point. By the way if you're near sighted it may stay blurry, I just wear my glasses and it helps, although if your far sighted wearing your glasses will make it harder.

How far away from the screen are you when viewing these pics?
I never get the hang of "sharpening the images" in my mind. They always look really small and blurry floating in the air midway to the screen.
>>
>>4366879
when you cross your eyes to look close your brain tricks you into thinking its twice as far away/smaller.

its really annoying.

The brain doesn't trick us. It's us who try to trick our brains.
When I cross my eyes, they also automatically changes the curvature of the lens.

Let's say you're looking at an image from half a meter away.
You cross your eyes and your brain assumes the object you're looking at is 10 centimeters away so it adjusts the lens accordingly but since it's actually 50 centimeters it becomes blurry.

Any sages here who have perfected the art of stereoscopic image viewing? How long did you have to train?

It seems to work pretty well, I'm brand new to cross eye but I've been crossey-ing patterns since I was little, I don't think it's a time thing though

I think it might depend on what you're using, I use a 7inch tablet, but it might be harder for monitors. Lemme try on a monitor, it might yield different results.

It's easier the smaller distance you have to "move" the pictures, cause you don't have to move you eyes inwards so much. It doesn't specifically matter what size of a screen you use, what matters more is the distance at which you're looking at the pics.
>>
>>4322154
The moving puzzles on that spot the difference site nearly gave me a fucking stroke. Also it's just unfair when you reach lime green and they start mirroring the two images, but I guess you aren't supposed to be viewing them crosseyed in the first place.
>>
>>4366696
And this has no depth, its just the same gif twice isn't it? When you think about how you'd need to edit each frame it makes sense it's nearly impossible. A false prophet.
>>
>>4366895
It is actually just about being actively aware of the muscles that do it (even if you don't know it) when you learn. I never ever thought about it, looked at some cross eyed fap threads like a year and a half ago. Then came back a long time later and could do it easily. Now, depending on how well the image is actually made I can do it in less than a second and switch back in just the same time.

So to view it unblurry your eyes are doing two things. Borrowing the terminology from >>4348087, you change the focus point as one action.

Simultaneously you will want to focus your eyes one the background without moving the focus point.

To practice this portion more easily, try holding your finger or a pencil in front of you and focusing there, then practice focusing your eyes differently, the pencil should become noticeably blurry.

Nice, thank you very much.
So the projection worked flawlessly. Watching with head tracking in VR worked. With 180 and you also chose the correct projection.

If you like stereoscopic images and even create them yourself you should buy yourself a cheap cardboard, really.

To your scene. She was huge. And she was close. Way to close.
Please try a camera distance of 7 cm and place the model 1m away. Also scale the model in that way that she is of reasonable size (idk 150 cm)
>>
>>4389089
1 - It's not 180° but 360° actually (I don't know how to create 180° rendering)
2 - The cardboard isn't the problem : I don't have a compatible mobile phone.
3 - It's hard to talk about cm on a virtual thing done using a picture as basis. I used May eyes separation for the camera distance and I moved a little too forward the camera in order to get a better effect. I suppose having a bigger distance between camera could make her a little smaller.

Just tell me if you set up your viewer for a 180° video by "mistake" and I'll try to correct the video afterward.

A Redmi note 3 and a Shinecon 2 costs ~200$ and is every penny worth it.

OK sry I didn't knew it was 360. Now the scale is a lot better. Her legs pussy and stomach are exactly right. Now it is also noticeable that one's head is placed just maybe 20cm from her pussy. Dick has also the right circumstances. About the length one could argue, but we'll that's hentai. It's like 30-40 cm. But that you can't change.
But I noticed one flaw. Her face has no depth and that is extremely irritating. Because of that missing depth I can't say anything about the scaling correctness above her breasts. I think her head is way do far away but I can't really say without a 3d face.

Please move the camera a bit away it's just a little to close.

I don't want to touch the model anymore... It was done long ago, that was experimental and making it into VR make it a lot more experimental so... sorry about the face.

I moved the camera away and did a 180° video this time (I just found the feature) with a better resolution.
>>
>>4389683
Resolution is awesome. Nice case study, (but you shouldn't share it yet). Hopefully you will either get VR glasses or give someone other with VR glasses your scenes because the main task is creating the scene. The scaling and camera position is just iterating.
If you would share the scene and maybe explain shortly what rendersettings to use I or someone else could go from here and put a working prototype together which could be shared by you
>>

>(but you shouldn't share it yet)
I shared it because anon wanted a VR version of my stuff. Don't expect improvement on the original model.

>If you would share the scene and maybe explain shortly what rendersettings to use I or someone else could go from here and put a working prototype together which could be shared by you
I won't share the scene because it suck as is (it just work okay for a static view).

About the render settings, just check a regular tutorial on blender 2.78 or newer on how to render a panoramic scene (2.77 and less don't allow panoramic stereoscopic render). In the 2 videos, "Equirectangular" is used for 360° and "Fisheye" for 180°.

And what do you mean by "a working prototype" ?

so cool. I almost feel like I can hold her in my hand.

this one is great
>>
>>4389829
Too much work for that. I only did the pokegirl conversion because it's the easiest one to do. All the other animations have cropped part and requires to much work in order to be "converted" into 180/360° scenery.
>>
>>4389683
Hi again. So i was trying to do a 180 stereoscopic. How did you do that? What Projection is used?

yo i got a shitty 20$ cardboard VR thingy for my birthday, how do i utilize it?
>>
>>4392692
Just Read The Instructions.
>>
>>4392696
but i mean specfically for porn, is there a good app to view this thread for example? other porn apps?
>>
so I tried browing this thread on cardboard with mimi, it mostly works, the big problem is that basically, the 3d effects are reversed, things that should extend outwards extend inwards, and vice versa, I guess it's because it makes you do the opposite of crossing your eyes(lose focus).
>>
>>4393184
Well that's what close to your face VR does, see if you can mirror the thread or just the images.

Fuck I literally can't do this.
What is "cross-eye"ing anyway?

>support custom devices

I built my own headset for $110 and use it for Play Club, Custom Maid and Waifu Sex Sim through Steam VR, games see it as a Vive.
Even does roomscale with a Kinect I had lying around, in the middle of programming knock off Vive Controllers right now

Git gud
>>
>>4393272
Missing an eye or something?

Cross eyeing is when the point that both of your eyes lock onto is moved in front of an image in order to see it in 3d. Parallel is when that point is behind the image.

Still doing requests? this would be interesting I think
>>
>>4393272
Hold one finger up at arms length in front of you. Now bring your finger closer to your nose, until it's less than 6 inches away. That's cross eyed.

Another important factor is to zoom out/in on the images, until you can comfortably push the two images together into one by going cross eyed. It should look like one clear 3d image in the middle with a blurry one on either side. Once I get the images together my eyes lock on to it and it's easy to look at.
>>
you fags these pictures never work, the images are always spaced a bit to far apart, not a single 3d image.
>>
>>4324956
Came so fucking hard, thx m8
>>
>>4398017
use zoom idiot
>>
I'm getting a Vive soon, is there an application that opens these or is it just any regular old image viewer?
>>
Bump, I need more of this
>>
>>4366895
Well when I was a kid I had those "Magic Eye" books that revealed a hidden image if you looked at it using this method. it took me maybe 10 minutes to get it the first time, then another hour or so to have it down effortlessly. So 15 years later when stereostopic porn starts showing up on the internet it was pretty easy to get into. At this point I'm only limited by how fast my eye muscles can snap into position, so now I'm waiting for science to give me Batou eyes.
