Speaking of translating news, there will be an update this month, but while Ray originally wanted to do a huge one (new events involving the town being the main focus) at this point he's considering doing a 'small' update with only the new clothes and the new hairstyle system first.

Regardless there'll be at least one update in July, if not two (depending on how much he can get done on the events once the clothes/hairstyles are done).

You have to extract the English patch rar, then put those files into the folder that contains the unpatched game. They'll replace some stuff, then you should be good.

The only news is that there will be an update some time this month (if not two), and that the first update will be focused on new clothes and the ability to change Sylvie's hairstyle. The update after that focuses on expanding interaction with the world as a whole (more city events).

when trying to use the translation patch given it messes up the main text window and the man that gives me sylvie never shows up, leaving me with a screen with no text staring at a door. Any help? Do I need to start a game, get past this, then install the TL patch?

We (players who have played the game several times) know she wants that, but she does NOT voice her wants/needs. What she says is (deliberately at this point, I'm aware of that and it IS good writting) she offering herself under the "cover", let's us say, of it being her "duty" or her "obligation".

As things are, if you make Doc not want sex under even remotely doubtful willingness, she never brings the issue again. This needs fixing.

A second scene with high enough Confidence where she offers to you again, this time not using a pretense of it being her "task as a slave", but openly acknowledging that it is her own desire (which now she has the confidence to say aloud) would be not just good for "good Doctor is a REAL nice human being" playthroughs, but also tender as fuck.

The whole relationship dynamic in the game pretty much reeks codependency, so this would really change what is going on.
It's also really, really obvious the first scene is coming from her actually wanting this and at the very least already starting to fall in love with the MC, so besides changing the entire tone of the relationship dynamics, I don't see what a second, different scene could bring to the table.

Awwww snap, 1.5.1 is out. Fixes some typos and makes some adjustments to facial expressions in some scenarios, plus includes a beta of 1.6.0.

I'm gonna wrap up some updates to the 1.5.0 translation patch and release it for 1.5.1 in the next day or so. Do note, however, that as the base game is the same (1.5.1 is a minor typo fix release), you can continue to use the existing TL patch with 1.5.1 and it shouldn't break anything. I say -shouldn't- because I haven't had a chance to check over which scripts he changed and which he didn't, so there's a -chance- that one of his typo-fixes was in a script not part of the patch, which would then show up as JP text.

Like I said, I'll have a new patch out in a day or two, which will include things like weaboo names as well that I've been sitting on.

Negative, saves work just fine. Make sure you have permission to write to whatever directory your game is in. That being said, checking to see if it was true revealed that like a fucking moron I forgot to actually move the dictionary I updated into the patch directory, and even worse, deleted it. So now I've had to go through and update the dictionary...again. But updated patch is above. Only change is that the 1.5.1 dictionary is actually present (wasn't causing the save issues you're experiencing).

I think what happened was because I was having glitches and irregularities. I copied my save, deleted the entire folder, reinstalled 1.51 base in a pristine condition, then applied the patch with no prior patch in place.

No--the talk system doesn't become active until you're in the final 'phase' of living with Sylvie. So if you started over with a new save, you may not have actually gotten to the point where it becomes an option.

What I always do is give a new version its own folder, then copy my save file over, do my patch work, then run the game, load the save, click memories then back, then save again. My save has been the same since 1.16 without issue.

For those curious, Ray provides PSD templates for the different scenes you'll need to have clothes ready for, and you enable the new system by typing "Original Outfit Buttons" into the talk bar (in Japanese). I'm not the artistic type so this does nothing for me, but I'm sure the modders in here will find it useful.

New game version is up, beta includes a new interface for heading into town that gives you time-of-day as well as the ability to return to the city square while wandering so that you can do more than just go one place and then head home.

Checking to make sure the base game is compatible with the TL patch as we speak.

1.5.3 makes changes to dress-up.ks and set_show.ks, so it's not compatible with the 1.5.1 patch anymore.

Time to update the patch again...
