He uses Maya to render everything. He uses something like Bifrost for cum simulation.
Performing fluid sim and collision physics in a game engine is basically impossible.

Running 3D rendering and particles on ONE computer, your own computer, is a difficult task. Making an executable that can run on anyone's computer is a task that requires expert knowledge and a frustrating amount of unrewarding work. You expect a one-person amateur team to do that?

You're saying that after the scenes are finished and recorded, he now has to selectively prerender and optimize everything to run in realtime? He did not design the models to run in realtime. He'd have to experiment with simplifications to see what runs fast enough and still looks good. Some models would need to be scrapped and remade from scratch. The visual quality would suffer.

The skills needed to create a realtime scene versus a prerendered scene are completely different. Every stage of production would need to be different if the final product was realtime.

Right, whoever that guy is that keeps saying "it's nothing special", you're right about that. The model is fairly low poly, and you could replicate the shader through and equivalent in real time.
However, you're completely mistaken if you think it wouldn't take a great deal of work.
The scenes provided in the current game are from a fixed perspective and the models are positioned with this assumption in mind.
There are probably plenty of graphical glitches and shortcuts (clipping, missing geometry, half finished models etc.) which would become glaringly apparent in realtime 3D.
Since the whole selling point is the immersion (apart from it being porn ofc), this would get thrown out the window in the transition.
Having the video prerendered also prevents anybody from ripping the game files and fucking around with them (for better or for worse).

3D games exploit the fact that they offer customisation and as a result the animations and models have to be flexible enough to accommodate these customisations.
Liru's animations and model has been designed to offer a single predefined set of animations and renders, it has been tailor fit to exploit the ramp shader too.
The actual geometry of Liru's model is horrendous without that, you can see this for yourself in seismic's tweets.

"Looks as least as good" means different things to different people.
Fans of Liru tend to be greatly attached to the character, but in 3D you're normally offered a selection of adjustments against a generic body, resulting in quantity > quality.
People who aren't particularly enthusiastic about Liru would prefer this control, and would say that since it suits them better, that it is a more enjoyable appearance.

Even for a promo shot of an unreleased hentai game, that looks nowhere near as refined as Liru. I'm not saying the Liru game is the most amazing pre-rendered 3D hentai, it's not, it's really good, but nothing special.

That screenshot looks impressive for realtime rendering, but you can still see the lighting is subpar, looks very unity'ish, for lack of a better term, and the models look very low poly, just look at the jagged curves, also, it's been touched up to eliminate as much aliasing as possible.

Miconisomi's titles do not include this, you work with premade characters. The most you'll see is breast size or hue shift.

Feasibility isn't the point. Realtime 3D is time consuming and full of edge cases, prerendered viewport is fast and controlled.
You cannot simply import assets across and expect the rest of the scene to spontaneously exist.
For example, the liru doorway scene isn't even a single render, it's a composition. That scene technically doesn't even exist.
You can see why redesigning the scene in a game engine would require a considerable amount of effort to port lighting/shaders/etc... ie: the whole point in my post.

I don't think you know how low-budget CGI works, Anon. Sure, there may be nothing impressive about the graphics, and if you had some very good professionals in charge of creating the models you could make something that could be renderered in realtime just fine on consumer hardware, even accounting for all the physics.

However, you won't find that kind of expertise in a low-budget doujin game development team, so they end up going the cost-effective route where they spam billions of polygons for that extra smoothness; Meaning they have to pre-render everything and only ship videos for the final product.

They're the breakfast scenes. After you eat the steak dinner (with the conversation about wanting to eat her cooking) immediately go to bed- it'll skip to morning with her cooking breakfast.

Hover cursor in the lower right corner and you can enter options menu.
Version 1.0.0.3 of the game had everything in the menu in a single language (everything in Japanese or English, depending on your choice - default Japanese ofc). I suggested Seismic a little mod to make it easier, he said he would apply it in the next update. Don't know if he did though.
