I was thinking, is it possible to work around the censorship laws in japan by sending all the assets of the game to someone in the west and have them render an uncensored version? Lets say he does this after hitting a certain amount of sales, so the initial ones don't get impacted by the free game that would be distributed in the west by the ones that make the uncensored version. There is only two ways the game can be distributed uncensored.

Those laws do not apply to (most of) the world. The market however, *does* extend worldwide.
Given that most of use are not situated in Japan, there is a reasonable expectation that the Western facing markets (in this case, DLSite Eng) would serve appropriately localised content.
Such localisations are still (mostly) dependent on JP content, and as such is subject to censorship.
Not by law, just because it would be tricky to get that content out without all kinds of issues.
