Watched Era 60fps, sort of disappointed. Interpolation doesn't work for some things, running the whole dam video through an interpolator gives some crappy results. The beatbar sometimes bugs out, and some scenes have crazy artifacting.

Agreed. I played around a bit with increasing fps in hentai a few years back, and I don't think bumping it to 60 is necessarily the best way to go. The best way to do it is to double the framerate, so you don't get all those fucked up frames. If you just randomly increase it, all the frames will be tween frames. If you double it, you'll keep the original frames, and insert tweens between them.
The other problem is that the entire video seems to have been run through the 60fps conversion. Ideally, you'd want to convert the clips themselves and tweak them where necessary, before adding the beatbar and effects.

with all this 60 fps craze i have gone and converted all the hentai from the Seven production house to 1280x720 60 fps and plan on making a quick showcase on what's possible if a faphero is made with 60 fps in mind from the get go.
Don't expect a super long faphero but more of a 60 fps effects showcase.

I'm putting up the music mix on YouTube in a few hr's for those of you who want to listen to that.

Bastati remastered one of his older ones, its okay.
A collab called Fool's Hero also has a host, the host is just okay-ish as it never really goes anywhere but the rounds are (mostly) top notch. Namely the first and second, probably some of the best in the series.

is there a "custom" fap hero yet? For example, authors release their fap hero in individual rounds, so anons can mix and match after collecting so many different rounds.

If original creators just made single rounds, they could pump out content much faster too. Bastati has ten rounds done for his latest, now the wait is on despite those being complete and already individualized.

I'm stupid organized, so when i split stuff I also add content and difficulty stuff in small text files. That could work for creators by adding them in the zips/rars, could make searching for specific hentai (like foot stuff) easier for watchers

I think it'd be pretty easy to organize just with filenames. *Name of Hentai/Character* [Average BPM] (Fetishes).mp4, for example. Average BPM referring to the bar, not just the music, of course. Should be a good proxy for difficulty.

I don't think there really has to be a difference. I mean if you look at your average FH, there's no difference between it and a long HMV with a beat bar, and I think we're all okay with that.

We'd basically just need some software that you can put the separate rounds into and possibly even add an option to play a host between rounds that then plays those files in the order chosen.

That would also be really handy for making simple HMV playlists. Add an option to save your configuration as a separate video and we'd have a masterpiece of a software for all kinds of purposes.

in case you're wondering, the reason there isn't much strict syncing in FH is because there's actually three things going on: the animation, the music, and the beat. The animation looks like shit if sped up to higher beat speeds. Animation also tends to look off if you try to sync it to rhythms.

Does the beatbar script work for every song? For the songs I tried using it with the beats were completely off-timed and there were like 100 beats in the space of a few seconds. Ended up having to manually time it

well... you are doing it all wrong :)
The script is only part of a specific workflow.
It can't recognize beats in a song as it works by identifying the beat peaks in the audio.
A song has multiple instruments and other stuff all jumbled together.

before you try generating a beatbar you need to make a beat file.
this is an audio file that runs next to the music with only the beats you want us to fap to.

I use Ableton to make this as it is the easiest for me.

for some more in depth help join the discord and ask around.

If i have to explain it all in here it's gonna fill up the thread rely fast. This is one of the main reasons we have a discord.

yes in the tutoral it is a 60 fps conversion. but hybrid is not locked to only converting to 60 fps. that would be dumb.

as for how to get duble fps... i would hink you know how to multiply by 2. just figure out the framerate of your source and duble it.

from now on. if a tutorial covers the general topic of the problem you seek to solve. watch the tutorial.. you might be able to tweak it a bit :)

that's how i learn most of the stuff i do.

I've watched the video and i said that anime sometime has inconsistent frame rate
That means in the first 10 seconds it may have a normal 24 fps but at (for example) 30 - 60 seconds mark the fps dropped to 15

So if i input the normal double fps which is 48 (24 * 2) the 30 - 60 seconds mark frame will be interpolated (since the 15 fps will be forced to 48 fps).

The image poster from above saying that he doubled fps of one video (doubling all frame in video at their perpective frame, rather than choosing one new better frame for whole video). If there is a way to purposefully reach that goal then i'm in, if not then i'm already satisfied with the incresed smootheness.
