I'm pretty sure he was referring to simultaneous bilingual subtitles. Meaning that both the Japanese transcript AND English the translation would appear at the same time. If for whatever reason you want that, you'll have to enable it in the debug menu.

The option to change the game into English has been in the options menu since the last demo.

Oh I'm sure you've seen many artists who start out releasing good fanart/content for everyone out of love for the show. Then patreon came allong and then they wanted to start to monitize their work. Soon there are time lines and schedules the artist has to keep and content they have to put out for the subscribers. Less and less they release fanart they once loved and go full time job mode fulfilling orders and work for patreon.

It hurts creators and it limits the amount of open free content on the web.

dlsite, dmm and the other half a dozen digital distributors aren't just middle men that take money out, they built a platform where producers can easily and safely reach their audience and they advertise a ton for their creators to grow their platform and every creator on their site benefits.


My point being is that Japan has a functioning and very productive industry, while outside Japan it's more like some hippie collective where everyone works for "free" and live off donations which isn't nearly as productive or efficient.
And I can't for the life of me understand why the fuck anyone would want Japan to adopt that "system.
