Here's a tip. You'll get something called ntleas with this. You have to use this to play the flash game. Start up ntleas and at the bottom there's an empty line. Click the button on the right and put the game in there and than click "save and run" at the bottom. Never had this before with any game so it take me like 10 mins to figure it out.

Someone's made a program to edit the colors on the girl, including transparency adjustment.
He still has to work out a few kinks (certain bits not being recolored, crashes when inputting color codes manually), other than that it's a pretty neat tool.

I don't think that's the case, I remember the dev talking about it on ulmf and mentioning that you really don't need to have the Kimochi client running at all to play the game, I've at least tried this myself with the other crap with Kimochi and it really has no problem with you trying to run the games straight from the folders themselves it doesn't automatically startup the client or anything. It probably helps that Kimochi is still in beta too.

It's really a matter of no one really going out of the way to buy it right now and bothering to share it.

Most of the usual uploaders aren't picking it up since they don't know it exists, since they usually only pay attention to dlsite releases, which the game will eventually be on, but that version is going to be censored.
