In highschool I had only two best friends. A few other friends but mostly by association. My best friend nick and I would play world of Warcraft after school, drink Arizona iced tea until our piss turned clear and just live cozy gamer life I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I loved it so much back then. We would always play online with his cousin Nate. What more could you ask for? Had no enemies at school, I wasn't the most social guy but everyone atleast knew of me and thought I was a nice guy. I had money to go out. Life was good. Anyways, Nate lived in a different state. One day he ended up coming down to...Live with nick. I was so incredibly happy. While he was here we got so close. I've never gotten so close to someone besides nick. We were inseperable. I found out Nate had schizophrenia, anxiety, depression and moved here so he could be happier. To be with his brothers. And he was. At school he was growing more confident and athletic. He was even looking for a girlfriend. Every now and again he would stay home because he didn't feel good but I didn't pay attention to it. He was happier here. There was a day where I stayed over at their house. Nate didn't want to go to school. I couldn't imagine why. He was having a blast all night and morning. He just later on the couch and pretended to be tired. I wanted to ask him if he could try. But we left to school anyways. Normal school day went by and by the time I left to go home and game with my bros...My mom told me. I still remember the exact words. "Anon..Your......Your friend Nate is gone. He was at therapy and....He ended up running to the freeway and....I'm so sorry". I never cry....But...For the next three days...I didn't go to school. I didn't leave my room. I cried the whole first day and some of the others. I couldn't get on world of Warcraft. I only ate once. I don't have any actual brothers. This was the first time I felt like I really had them. And if it couldn't get any worse...

I had to listen to false rumors about his death. Even watched an asshole use my best friend for his anti bullying PowerPoint presentation for class. He said Nate killed himself because he was bullied. I was so furious but...I couldn't speak. My confidence was gone. My girlfriend broke up with me because I was a hollow emotionless statue. My friend stopped playing world of Warcraft for a while. My other friends stopped talking to me. I lost everything all at once. I never thought the world could feel...Literally feel....So muted and numb. I barely felt cold or rain on my skin. I head people talking but didn't care to understand the words.
