Ah, good question. I've been using this for most of the stuff I post in these threads and its served me well.

To briefly run down the process: I pick the file, trim it down to ~30 seconds or so, and resize down to 720p if needed. Under encoding I just set it to Constant, use High Quality Mode, and give it a size of 3.6MB to work with which'll usually keep it under the /gif/ limit of 4MB.
