You cross your eyes so that your left eye is looking at the right image, and the right eye is looking at the left image.

When you cross your eyes just the right amount, the two images will combine into 1 3D one. It looks pretty amazing.

One big issue with stereoscopic 3D images is the size, as well as space between your eyes and the image. Even the angle can be off. What you need to do is be far enough away from your screen that you don't have to strain too hard to get them to align.

If you have to cross your eyes too far, it's not going to look the same.
