2) Shots to the thigh are more deadly than shots to the torso. The femoral artery is very powerful and difficult to staunch, if that gets clipped with a bullet they are going to bleed out quickly, even if an ambulance shows up.
3) Lots of people can resist tazer shots, Again not video game, you don't instantly seizure up and freeze. It becomes difficult to control your muscle spasms, but if you're already ontop of the guy you can still shank him prison bitch style. Plus the guy ould be hopped on a cocktail of drugs or adrenaline or both.
4) Close up, fast moving targets are difficult to hit accurately compared to an object further away at the same speed. Imagine accurately catching a ball thrown hard at your face from two meters away, compared to the same throw from twenty meters. Now imagine that ball is going to stab you with a screwdriver.

Real life isn't a video game nor a cheesy action movie. Otherwise cops would clearly incapacitate criminals by grabbing two of them lightly from behind and firmly bumping their heads into eachother.

I'm not even a person who they should even ever aim a gun at (white blue eyed kid), and that's why it gives me nightmares.
