How would you go about doing that? I have no program which mentioned meta data. Windows claims that it can remove meta data, but no. VLC seems to fuck up reading it anyhow. The title shows in the true title, across the fucking page (why does that feature even exist? Who would ever want that and why?) and in the status bar but it's absent when you actually inspect the properties...

Well I found the VLC setting to not show (embedded) titles upon playing the media. It's simply in Tools -> Preferences -> Subtitles.
However I still need rid of this hidden title shit as I want the share the videos without asking another person to turn that shit off first.

Having the source attached to the file is one of the most useful features of webms, and I wish people were more consistent about using it. Someone already told you how to turn it off in your player, just do that instead of removing useful metadata

I don't use vlc, but have you tried this?
