I've been quite happy with mine.

For a partial like mine the only downside is that it takes more pressure to form a continuous stream. I tend to spray more than I did before, but most of the time it's manageable. If you do need to form a high pressure stream you can just put your finger over the bottom part.

I did mine in a few sessions of a couple of mm at a time. The first few are simpler since it's less vascular and you are going through less flesh.

Firstly, make sure to take all the proper precautions, sterilize hands and cock with alcohol and implements in an oven or autoclave.

For the first few it's pretty simple, lightly hold the opening open and use a brand new x-acto knife or scalpel. Take light passes and take your time. There shouldn't be much bleeding.

Later passes become more complicated since you are cutting through a much thicker area. This requires a different a different approach to limit bleeding in such a highly vascular area. Use a set of locking forceps (or set of pliers) and clamp through urethral opening down to a bit past the area to be cut for 10-15 minutes. This will reduce bleeding during and after the cut and will let you make a fit longer of a cut than you did before. I only did 1 of this pass and used a pair of surgical scissors instead of a blade, but a blade should be fine.

After making a cut give the area a rinse with alcohol and pack the area with gauze or cotton and to keep the cut area open a bit for the next few hours. It will have a tend to start healing back together, so over the next few days give it a separation every few hours. Use normal post-mod aftercare keeping it extra clean.
