If you want to find existing clips, try searching for...
>"Adult GIF" keyword

If you want to make clips, you can use FFMPEG on any platform. It's command line and will take some getting used to. You can also search for a wrapper, like WebMConverter, which provides a GUI...

https://gitgud.io/nixx/WebMConverter

It allows you to trim/crop/resize etc.

In the beginning of Promethius, they show an engineer drinking the black liquid and dissolving into the river. It's DNA merging with whatever was in the river and eventually creating humans. No aliens/facehuggers or predators required.

I'm assuming the predators brought the facehuggers with them to create the aliens from the human sacrifices. In Alien 3 and 4 they show that the aliens sort of mix with whatever they incubate inside of. Also assuming the engineers went to many planets and the predators got their facehuggers that way.

Aliens vs. Predator was the plot going full circle.

Fun Fact: The edges of that ladder were sharp and after shooting all day Jackies hands were shredded and bleeding. Also the end of that scene where he shakes his hand wasn't scripted, one of his stuntmen had actually hit him in the knuckle and broke his finger. Jackie said it was his own stupid fault because he put his hand in the wrong spot.
>>
>>10189372

Kiiiiiind of. If you ever get a chance to read "Masters of Doom" I'd highly recommend it.

Back in the day of lawlessness while making video games you could get away with a ton of shit. I.E. ripping off sounds from other sources. If you listen to the DOOM 2 soundtrack a lot of music is Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, and so on in Midi form. The same goes for some of the ambient audio. They lifted the door noise from a sci-fi movie who's name escapes me atm. But the doors in the game opened much slower so they just extended the audio clip to fit the length of time.

It's a standard foley sound from the company "Sound Ideas" they basically just record various noises such as tin cans falling or footsteps. You can buy a library of them for like 200 bucks and use them in your game. It saves time having to record them all yourself.

All 4 of the different door noises came from that library.

As this anon said

>>10190112

The first apperance of that noise was in a 1968 italian movie called 'Diabolik' (Prounounced Diah-bo-leek) about a super thief that steals shit and has sex with his girl on piles of money.

Yes,the films names are Alien, but in both movies there are more than one alien.
In the first Alien we saw only 1 xenomorph, but there were hundreds of Chestburster eggs around the Engineer's ship. And in Alien 2 there were like,i don't know,80 xenomorphs and one xenomorph queen
So,in the two films there were more than one non human being.
Am i right? yes,of course i am right

That and other inhuman maneuvers are waived by saying that the controls - either the shown Waldo units or the control sticks of Ingrams - are using movement shortcuts combined with pilot-specific control data to derive the machine's motions. The labor anticipates the pilot's desires based on what actions the pilot has previously approved for that motion. It's not too different from modern control interfaces, barring the machine learning aspect.

There is an easy way around this.
You don't show what happened. You show how they perceived it.

Horrific nightmare fuel entirely in allegory because the human brain cannot understand it as it happened, so it constructs something that "fits" within the framework of what is can do.

seems to me like they could have just picked up all their weapons and started shooting the unarmored cars that are approaching

especially when the alternative is making a run for it through the desert on foot. chased by cars. like i fucking said. did you even read my post?

maybe the storytelling is fine in that movie, but just seeing that scene has fucking awful cinematography. they basically send a guy yelling at them to surrender their post, and they do, because fucking saddam is coming for them. in what universe would that work?
>>
>>10204175
Fyi he doesn't move at light speed. Quicksilver moves at a speed of 4-5 times the speed of sound, which is means that he can run a distance of 1,361- 1701miles per second. Realisticly speaking this shows that his reactionary time must be equally as quick, which means that he can perceive events for that are even less than an octosecond (0.0000001). So it is possible for him to do that stuff in the movie.
>>
>>10204351
yes, but it still doesnt make sense that he can move other people around like they were ragdolls

remember, they move at human-speed. if you move a human arm at 4-5 times the speed of sound like he does, that arm's joints break. they're not superhuman like him. the force they experience doesnt adjust to the superhuman speed which is then slowed down for the viewers.

And dont even get me started on how he makes that guy hit himself in the face. if anything, his arm would snap-back into the position he had before Quicksilver moved him.

Quicksilver's slow motion part derives of two parts, slow and quick. Since his reaction time is really quick, everything that happened in the webm was according to him. About the arm part, he does pushes the guy's arm after making it into a fist, would still equal to a higher force than what he was initially doing. Not sure about the injuries, but presumably most of their joints are torn just by the sheer force of being moved by him, I find it unnecessary for him to move any objects apart from the bullets hitting Charles and Erik, he could have just poked all of them in the cheek and they would have ended up in a coma.

I get what you're saying, and I agree, though they obviously took steps towards realism and some artistic liberties to make it work. Like, when he pokes the guy in the face and it reacts like he got hit really hard.

I want to see a scene where super strength and speed are portrayed physically accurately. I think it would require some cool/clever solutions to figure out how it could actually be used. Gravity always fucks up super speed, and normal forces fuck up super strength.

Literally the only thing I found even remotely redeemable about that movie where mickey rourke wore all the funny hats was when the gods were fighting the titans, it was obviously supposed to be slowed down (the implication being that they're fighting at super-speed), but when they take killing blows whatever powers were keeping them mobile at those speeds cease working and they drop into slow motion (or real-time in this case).
... for the record, the scene is still bad like the rest of the movie, I just liked that one aspect of it.
