Actually, someone who's quick enough could take on a Gorilla. If you can strike it right in the chin or nose you should have it down fairly quick; taking into consideration your punches need to be sharp, and the knuckle of your middle finger has to stick out, a flat fist won't do much.

Gorilla use extreme bursts of strength that could ragdoll just about anyone across a room. However, Gorillas aren't built like humans and can't throw out attacks in really quick succession. When fighting one it would basically come down to whether or not you can avoid that big motherfucker running at you.

To all of the people in this thread who get triggered by people claiming to be strong, i'll put this in perspective for you:

Anyone can beat someone by hitting them in the right spot. Fighting a gorilla will depend on who hits first. If you hit the Gorilla in its chin or directly in its nose with a strong, sharp punch, you'll more than likely daze it. However, if the Gorilla hits YOU first then say goodbye to the part of your body that got hit.

This kind of retarded thinking comes from people that know just enough to think that it's impossible to fight someone with a knife. Well guess what buddy, sometimes people are put into that situation forcefully and have to defend themselves. It's NOT out of the question for someone who's trained to be able to come out on top in that situation.

I just want to get this out of the way, it's REALLY fucking hard to kill somebody with a knife. Talk to any EMT, paramed, doctor, whatever, they'll all tell you the same thing. If you don't get cut in the neck, chances are you're going to survive. It's really not as easy as you think to get a nicked artery outside of that.

Secondly, there are people who are trained specifically to deal with knife attacks. A lot of law enforcement/active combat military will probably have some training, and if you ask around enough you'll get to someone who defended themselves with some training against a knife, which usually in the case of LE/Mil will be something out of FMA. In case you don't know, FMA is Filipino Martial Arts, and is based almost entirely around bladed weapons, because blades are so important to the Filipino people.

You don't WANT to fight someone with a knife of course. Everything could go wrong, but to imply that a knife in untrained hands is definitely going to fuck a trained person up is kind of misleading, and might convince some people not to get some kind of defense training against knives.
