skype update

Haven't seen it yet myself, but that doesn't look very good. Why are we suddenly mixing minimalistic/ simple stuff with gradients? Are we going back in time?

Cause gradients are cool again. Haven't you seen the iOS app badges/Instagram app logo?

I don't really like the implementation of gradients in this example, but having something that isn't just flat is neat. It kind of adds to the looks, I think.
Just them putting a gradient on the speech bubble seems a bit odd. Especially because it isn't just a brighter blue but a orange tone.
