trying a new style, is it good or dumb?
so far the fonts feel a little uninspired here and there. check out every somewhat legendary typeface you can find on wikipedia. try to find decent quality variants to download and try them out. use nexusfont software to sort your shit.
some:
Bodoni (Recommend: Bodoni Pro by Berthold, but could also check out Gianotten by Linotype)
Akkurat
Akzidenz Grotesk / Akzidenz Grotesk Next (by Berthold)
Avenir
Caslon
DIN (Recommend: DIN Next by Linotype)
Frutiger
Futura (Recommend: Futura PT by Paratype)
Garamond
Gill Sans
Gotham / Avenir
Helvetica / Helvetica Neue
ITC AvantGarde

60s/70s bbc radiophonic orchestra / ghost box records cover design kind of a vibe (look em up). not bad. "a sweet relaxing etc etc" choice of the typeface could be more authentic (as in less antique looking, cuz it's body, not stylistic antique looking display like "oak vale city prom") and the small text below "an album by etc etc" is too small to be practical for print and maybe the typeface is too contemporary.
trends may be nice, but spend some time actually studying typography and type design. here are some materials

just keep doing stuff
typography is muh shit. want to become one with type? draw it, pen and paper. all those anon posted up there. if there is one thing i can look back on my design education with fondness is being taught typography by a real working typographer.
keep it up anon.

Yeah had the same feeling about my fonts. I'll try some you recommended and maybe I can find some more that will work for my other stuff

Yeah I thought about it but right now I not good enough. But I guess it's only practice and shit
My coded website , which is my portfolio. With some of my work. Im slowly , but surely, getting rid of my old shit work and replacing with much higher quality work.

try to distinguish different kinds of typefaces
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vox-ATypI_classification
Megg's History of Graphic Design gives a good overview where each kind lays historically
but the typographic grid is what makes the type actually useful and differentiates real utilitarian work from photoshop farts
agoraroad.com is it aesthetically pleasing?

digital art is all noise and trash or will be sooner than later.

font design and colors i really dig. the product placements should be edited to look blended into the painting style, that way they wouldn't look so harshly integrated.

Way to go, stealing Xiu Xiu's and Pescado Rabioso's art in one single design. And being pretty bad on top of that.
how can I make this better? so new at this

I don't like this style at all.
I posted this a while ago, feel free to critique.

that's really great as it is mate. that flat, handwritten-style font matches perfectly with the vibe of the image. your choice of colours is really well balanced aswell. you have a strong message being sent, which is the most important thing in gd
crits
1) get a pen, paper, and brush, and write out the title. scan it in. get some uniqueness into the letterforms.
2) contrast between album name and artist title could be a little better. make the type in the bottom left way smaller, that would make the image and album title the hero of the piece.
really impressed though mate, keep it up!!

I mean if youre an old fag that sounds great, but just try to imitate a candle wax or drip on cotton look, font can be even black, but incredibly fine raster. I would only suggest to make it more like the font is written on the photo itself- making this ever slightly folded or blown out by lens flare/reflection think of a photo of a photo perhaps
