New logo for web Dev agency, tear it apart for me please

Well for starters its sideways.

bland and dated for a 'modern design agency' if you ask me.

too many colors for such a small difference in contrast. also i feel like the colors together are not very strong. The grey is really random and looks pretty bad. if anything I would make it a really light bluish grey, and then having the colors range from the blue to light grey.
and 'lakeside dev' might look better if they were conjoined in some way, like 'lakesidedev' and are separated only by contrast of color and I would say maybe trying to change the weight of dev or something.

Proposal:

The three lines are the lake - the font for Lakeside is FrutigerNeueLTPro Medium - clean, but not too generic - font for DEV is Continuum Light, to discern it from Lakeside; which your current Word logo doesn't, the spacing here is too near. I kept the dot elements, like the "close, minimize, maximize" of Windows, making it small as not to distract from the rest. The line underneath keeps everthing together.

I forgot to mention I tweaked the space inbetween the letter of Lakeside to give it a scenic appearance, as well as DEV, the kerning was not optimal.

That grey part looks somewhat off... I would change it to blue.

Get rid of those 3 little squares = visual noise. Frutiger is a boring font and doesn't track well when you add all that space. The lowercase 'i; looks like a little man shooting a gun. Also, the word 'modern' is dated feeling. Remember less is more. Good luck!

Yeah, that was a carry over from the old logo… doesn't have to be necessarily there.

I choose Frutiger because I don't want a too fancy font… Johnston ITC? Or what do you have in mind?

Awful fonts

Change the name, Lakeside makes it feel incredibly not modern. Also learn to spot constructive criticism vs someone just telling you to change something. It will help you avoid what my professor called
"design by committee"

Those fonts are shit, and the color is too fucking bright for professional purposes, did you fucking learn color theory or you're just go onto Illustrator and decide which one looks good.

Try using Goudy Old Style Bold and darken the color ffs
