And just to help out,

What I did back then for that back then was in blender (3d program).

All I did was take a plane and subdivide it, and then use a wireframe modifier to show the wires.
Nowadays, I just use a plane with a procedural grid texture/material that I made. Either way works.

Even if it's just basic knowledge, a good understanding of a 3d program really helps sometimes for GD.

Especially when it comes to things like people and shit. I have a set of 3d models that I just pose and then trace over whenever I'm working in Illustrator.
Or even anything with depth in an illustration, doing small maquettes of a scene really works wonders.

Its hard to explain, but the way the colors are shifted: I make three identical layers and the two on top of the background i disable the layer colors and make them red and green. Then i shift them a bit to each side.

the glitchy stripe effect is the liquify tool. You can pres once on hold shift and press again and it would make a straight line between the two points.
