wich software do you use, to edit images?
Photoshop or Gimp (or something completely different)
Gimp sucks dick
If I just need to scribble on it or crop it I might use Paint.NET, otherwise Photoshop

Macromedia Flash

Affinity Photo pretty cheap very good

Gimp if i need a magnetic lasso, else Paint.Net because I can't be assed to crack PS again.

Depends on what you mean by edit images, and your paradigm is false, depending on editing requirements there are dozens of design based applications.
If you haven't sold your soul to adobe you are no designer worthy looking at

Microsoft Office Picture Manager

lol wut
I actually use Adobe After Effects for everything.
Started as me being an edgy 13 year old wanting to make lightsaber/shootout/explosion short films so I installed AE and autistically learned everything about it, never needed photoshop for anything.
But if someone asks me do I know how to use PS I always say yes

Used both and I refuse to pay all that money for one when the free one does exactly the same and is easier to use.
Money-wise...Gimp rules and PS sucks donkey cock.
how fucking poor are you people
If you really work with design there is only one answer.

If you are speaking only of the OP topic, I see, but otherwise, Adobe doesn't do all best. Back in February of this year I started the job I'm currently at and we use CorelDRAW for vector art, and I greatly prefer it to Adobe Illustrator now, where I previously thought AI couldn't be matched. It can, and CorelDRAW is better for me. However, Corel's Photopaint is crappy in general, but does a handful of things perhaps a little better. Point is, Adobe doesn't rule all when you actually put some time into alternatives. Photoshop is king of the top shelf for photo though.
