I need help bi/gd/ongs, I want to animate a logo I made for a proyect but Im a little rusty on After Effects and dont know how to aproach this task.

Im watching some tutorials on youtube but haven't found a video that explains this kind of animation in detail. Im aware it has something to do with masks but thats about it.

pls help, wat do?

Just do it in Photoshop.

I know this isn't a helpful reply but I really like the typography of this logo.

>animating anything in photoshop

OP you got two general solutions:
-rebuilding your logo in AE with the shape tool, and then animating it with the shape tool controls and effect;
-importing static pictures of your logo and revealing it with masks and mattes that you animate;

I think the 1st method generally looks cooler, but if you're trying to get something like in your pic then it's gonna be the 2nd. Of course, the more talented designer would mix both methods together in a creative way.

I usually do it with vectors -from Illustrator to AE. Give each element the "Trim Paths" attribute and that's pretty much it. Just remember to ease all keyframes so it doesn't look janky.
Trim Paths is simple and efficient. I used it in both of these demos:

I don't know if a tutorial is really necessary if you only use the Trim Paths thing, but likewise searching YouTube for "after effects trim paths" might give something useful.

Yes thats what I want to do, sorry for the misleading first reference I posted, it was the only thing close enough to what I wanted to do. Pic related is something similar to how I want to "reveal" the process behind the creation of the brand. My idea is to animate over a grid the construction process I used with geometry and angles.

Thanks for the insight, I'll read more about it. I can do it in photoshop like you said in the 2nd option but thats a bit "stiff", I want to do something more dinamic and fluid.
