Boring Background...

Why don't you make the background as that animation showing Conways Game of Life.

Drop Raleway. The crossed "W" is too stately for the image you're trying to project. If you're deadset on a Google font, try Open Sans in its thinnest face with a shitload of tracking.

Lighten up that vignette.

Maybe think of ways the squares can interact with the letters. What if a few of your characters were the same color as the background, and were only visible once a square blinked in behind them? Marry the type and the animation together somehow.
