Any idea what kind of work I should submit for my portfolio into uni? I know it has to be graphic design related but all I can think about are imaginary logos and posters. I suck at drawing so that's out of the question too

I have a uni interview tomorrow, what I'm bringing is all my finished work and sketchbooks including development
Sketchbook development is important
Also when I submitted my mini-portfolio when I was trying to get the interview spot, they gave me criteria to fill in (10 digital work, 10 traditional work/development), but it may differ depending on the course you're looking to apply for
Hell, I even submitted random shit like a wooden clock I made 3/4 years ago, some art and design stuff from high school and some 3D modelling stuff I do it my free time.

But yeah, submit your best pieces but also include development work for each project.
They don't like just finished pieces because there's nothing telling them that you didn't just steal a template from the internet and slightly modify it (a friend of mine actually got declined for this exact reason because he never does development).

Don't worry, sketches/scribbles are fine too as long as it makes sense towards your final outcome
I'm applying for Digital Media

Thanks for the advice, your development work looks way more interesting than what I have. I really need to step it up. By the way, what inspires your portfolio? I don't really know how to put it into words, like how or what decides what project you do?

>like how or what decides what project you do?
I've been at college doing Graphic Design/Interactive Design for the past three years, so pretty much every project except a small few are because I had to do them for college.
I have done a few side-projects too, although I'm not really sure what inspired me.
I guess the 3D modelling I just do because it's fun (most of it is for a game competition), and the other projects were inspiring because I was getting paid for it lol

People pay for your designs? Holy shit, I don't think you will have any troubles getting in but all the best tomorrow anyway, anon. Thanks alot

It wasn't anything big, just close friends/family needing adverts done
I'd post an example, but being adverts it has emails and phone numbers on it, which I'd rather not stick on 4chan heh

That's still pretty cool mang
