Be more specific, Nike and its partners use so many goddamn fonts that it's impossible to guess which you're thinking of.

A good place to start would be to look at Fonts by Conrad, he's made typefaces for a ton of Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour programs programs.

AFAIK (hard to say without a PR account :D) it still works, what changed recently in fact is the way they hide posts, now they "nest" the hide tag inside a code tag.

Formerly they didn't, so the highlight trick allowed us to see the links.

But since they set up this new method, one cannot see the content inside the code tag, thus blocking the [hidden] links effectively.

That being said, they didn't take the time to change every single link of PR (that was quite expected), so the highlight tricks still works on many occasions.

They are the same typeface, but for different uses / usage.

A minima, desktop (TTF/OTF).

Now everybody is crazy about webfonts, which are - well - designed to be embedded on one's website in the CSS stylesheet.

You can also find "app" fonts, which are disigned to be embedded on one's app code (iOS, Android, Windows Phone), but this is less common.

Overall, nowadays the standard format would be the combo desktop / webfont.

I ripped Skolar from Typekit using the .woff rename trick and a converter, but the internal names are hex strings. Any help?

I made a logo for a friend using a not free font. I took the font to illustrator and twerked every single letter and altered them, some twice. From what I understand that qualifies it for fair use but before we publish I want to make sure I'm right.

Nah the stakes are quite low, and if no one states otherwise you're fine.

I mean if you really modified every single letter one would be hard-pressed to (a) recognize your rip-off (if any) ; (b) prove it.

At the end of the day, fonts are for the most part bezier curves, if you did modify it properly you shouldn't be worried.

Better yet: post your logo here (modify it a bit if you are too proud of it) and we'll advise.
