Hi, I'm in an organisation and we're planning an event in the future. Since i'm the only one who can work with photoshop/illustratorv they asked me if I could make something.
This is my first 'prototype'. I would love to have some feedback and tips!

why not instead of the lame crack you just use different font sizes it will give you more contrast
also make the type and the placeholders smaller
bump the vibrance
add some noise
I like the idea of the crack but it looks off if not connected to the other words
Here some adjustments

yeah it looks better with the same font.
maybe try making the RULES a little bigger than "break the"
the photo is a little too oversaturated too
here's a tip since on the photo there's a sun flare why not google some lens flare and it on top of everything change the color to orange and the mode to lighten and the opacity to 20-40%
also the photo looks a liitle too distracting maybe use the gaussian or lens blur filter on it.
try a different version with the black squares with lower opacity (maybe even blending modes if you know how to use 'em) >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mibCkK1nDpI

I will maybe change the colors of the boxes later

it looks better. but the flare is kinda mess up. try downloading the flare on the image i just posted (i just made it). if you use it try to set the blending mode to "Linear Dodge" and lower the opacity till it blends seamlessly.

another thing you can do is align the text a bit. -pic related

God Tier
Someone had the advice to not use the box
I changed the background, it's better now i think.

Honestly you could do so much more with a event called "break the rules", you need to go full postmodernism on this one!!

Since i'm not a designer, i really don't know.
This event is really just an regular party with DJ's playing commercial music.

I have a wall full of these things. Here are the ones I could find where the text is in blocks like you're trying to achieve. Maybe it can inspire you:
1/4
2/4
3/4
4/4
I've put to much work in this. I feel like it's not gonna be published.
I'm out, where can I find a free designer? #kek
