Graphic designer jobs used to be 80k 10 years ago when I was still in elementary school.
Now I'm 6 months out of college with a BA in graphic design and I can't find a job with my skills. Employers want a house of cards type of worker. Someone who can animate, make videos, code in javascript, use adobe software with ease, and work on multiple projects at the same time.
The fuck? I'm even worried to switch to welding because I'm afraid a lot of stupid fucks will ride that bandwagon and reduce that fields earnings.
God damn, I didn't know how much youtube, facebook, twitter, and reddit could destroy design. Everything has been funneled by sponsors and already established businesses. It's insanely hard to start anything today.
What do I do guys. Please, I could use advice. I live right next to New York, that's why I'm more fucked.
