IRC is old but it has all the benefits of an old technology that is, incredible support, that way you can do business on slack, shitpost on discord, talk to normies on facebook and ask tech questions on IRC, hell in a simple github search I found a way to use fucking whatsapp on a irc client.
So yeah we need to let a protocol so efficient die. You sir are exactly what's wrong with the current state of technology.
