The be quiet! one doesn't have a PWM connector but a 3-pin one that only carries the measured speed, so the mainboard would have to control it by changing the voltage.

Most modern mainboards won't be able to do that.

the bequiet one is 3polig, OP. That means your system won't be able to control the speed according to your temps and it will run at full speed at all times. Check if your mainboard has a sys_fan with 3 pins or 4 pins.

However, you are still better off with the bottom fan, since a 4pin fan can still be connected to a 3pin sys_fan. If its too loud you can get a resistance so the voltage will be lower.

The be quiet ones are okay

but like others say they're only 3 pin.

I replaced all my server fans with them and they seem to do a good job, pretty silent anyway. But why pay more for less?

Here is what I bought with the arctic fan to connect with the 3pin sys_fan on my mainboard.

Is silent enough, do recommend.
