Most people still won't really mind the image quality at 20cm because it really still is looking better than many prints, their TV's image and about equal to the image quality you tend to get on instagram and stuff like that after you account for smartphone cameras.

I know it's not technology, but has anyone ever buy a daki off of aliexpress? I've looked around a lot of places and the only non-lewd daki that isn't printed on some meme shit (found one on fucking baby wool, what the hell) is from some guy selling bootlegs on aliexpress. There's feedback on the item that isn't loading, which puts it effectively at a zero score, but the store itself seems to have okay feedback with some pages of five star ratings. I've actually been looking for an e-reader too. It seems like the chinks haven't made any worthwhile chinkreaders. The basic amazon kindle goes on sale for $60 sometimes. You can also pick up an old Kobo touch on ebay for cheap ($40 for new, open box). The only problem is that even if the Kobo touch is "new" it was made in 2011, so the battery won't be great.
