Logitech is already selling that.
The main problem is that they're using a proprietary charging mechanism so you can only use it with Logitech mice that support it but even if they wanted to use Qi for example, you wouldn't be able to charge your mouse and use it at the same time since the device has to stay still to charge.

It's a good idea but it's far from perfect at the moment.

I just got one, and it's pretty good I guess. I only paid $8 so I can't really complain. it reduces a lot of the drag I usually get and gets rid of the occasional annoyance of cords
