Considering they believe that we like old thinkpads because of the aesthetics, yes, they are fucking it up.

Old thinkpads are good because they're solidly built.

Shame, all it needed was no trackpad and I'd be sold.
Seriously, fuck trackpads, why are they mandatory these days?
I'll just use the clit or plug a mouse in, give me the smaller form factor or an extended keyboard...

Scrolling with two fingers on the trackpad is easier for me than holding on to the trackpoint and pressing another key down. Trackpoints are nice for precise things but some fast and sloppy webpage scrolling is easier with the trackpad. I also like to click things by tapping the pad. It doesn't come in the way since I have a setting for it to be disabled while typing. I have a T430.
