The VM is just a bog-standard VBox VM and a 40GB hard disk... actually I think I might've just realized what I broke. Stand by.

I thought my issue was the installer scripts not handling a GPT partition properly so I let it try with MBR but I got the same result.

Mine straight up crashes on windows 7. Not sure why. I had this running on Arch, but that should just be a Virtualbox issue not a OS issue.

Interesting.

I'll try running the same VM with a stock Gentoo ISO since I'm quite familiar with the default install procedure and see what happens.

I suspect its grub fuckery, but I have nothing to base that on.

not sure if it's windows, I hope it's just a driver issue or something stupid. Guess we can figure out a resolution here since we can't exactly ask other online forums for help booting CloverOS
