They're trying to sell them an android ripoff and it's main feature seem to be the facial emojis for a price of $999!! This is fucking insane, I think it's pretty obvious they're taking a gamble to see if people will fall for this shit or not, this is also why they are releasing iPhone 8 and 8s as a backup, they know what they're trying to do here. If this works out for them it's gonna get even more ridiculous next year. Apple are really greedy as fuck, they're trying to trap their costumers in a web and that web is only going to get bigger, unless people call them out on their shit and refuse to buy it.

now they have a wider pool of suckers who got tricked, and they'll eagerly want to "upgrade" to the next (iphone X-2) which "fixes" the busted features and puts everyone back at square 1.

Right, they're basically telling people to get the x, because the 8 is already fucking outdated. Not to mention that Apple fans would never buy a cheaper model because then the whole appeal and reason for buying is lost, remember how badly 5c failed?
