So recently I’ve got enough money from working to actually start building my first computer and since it’s only my first build and I don’t have endless money I wanted to see if there was a cheaper product that would essentially the same as the one I already planned on buying. I have done a lot of research and my build list is;
Case: nzxt s340 elite
PSU: evga 500w bronze
RAM: 8g of ddr4 (2 sticks)
CPU: Intel 7700k
GPU: 1080ti ( not sure if I would need a blower style card if I have an ATX build)
CPU Cooler: nzxt kraken X62
OS: windows 10 (64-bit)
Any better parts for the value and let’s start a builds thread, post pic of setup and specs.

wait a month to buy a new CPU

ram prices are still inflated but I'd go with 16gb
what is your intended purpose because Windows 7 is much cheaper than W10
$20 vs $119

shit's gonna be hot af, rule of thumb is gold with a few hundred watts of headroom so you're getting the most efficiency, not just for muh electricity bill but for lower heat generation
but you're getting a 7700k so I doubt you care about heat
Dont buy a cheap ass PSU with nice parts. Look for a 600w+ Seasonic 80+ gold rated PSU
If you don't have infinite money, why 7700k + 1080ti? Whats your use case, what resolution and refresh rate and what is the most demanding game you play.
8gb of ram is fine if you don't multitask much, but its absolute bare minimum for a modern build, even my Athlon 5350 has 16gb of ram
you should get a cheap SSD instead of a yuge HD
