The only fault I've found with it so far is the shit homepage and the add-on block list. Both easy solutions. It runs faster than Firefox and about the same as nightly on my system, but with far less ram usage and no connection to mozilla. So that's why I recommend it. But if it doesn't run that well for you, you can do your own research and figure out which browser best meets your needs.

it's not any faster on my system, in fact, the fastest is ff esr. ff57 score the same on any bench mark as esr. palemoon is always the slowest. i think its worst part is there is no way to evade fingerprinting because its plugin is stuck in 2008

The devs openly admit that it will not perform well under synthetic benchmarks, so I don't see that as an issue. From what I've judged in real world use, it has run better for me.
